Denison's campus (and the surrounding area) is gorgeous, particularly in the fall. Based on faculty accomplishments, salary, student reviews, and additional factors. of students say that Greek life is pretty big. there was a huge controversy this past year dealing with racism and homophobia. The first is "Where is that?" As a liberal arts college, Denison encourages students to take a wide variety of classes and become independent thinkers. That being said, academic honesty is also taken very seriously so it is up to you to try your very best. The problem with the small size and seclusion of Denison is that there are only so many people. To get basically anywhere it requires a car. Denison is a really prestigious institution and therefore people are very impressed when I tell them that I go to Denison. Denison's main perks: the perfect college town, professors who are intimately engaged on campus, and a close community due to the residential requirement. While I felt I was prepared for college, even coming from a very rigorous high school, the work load at Denison is still definitely a wake up call. and the second is "Wow, that's a great school, you must be smart." Denison is a great school with great academics and people who care about you and your growth. People at Denison are endlessly encouraging. Other than that, Denison is not much but something that looks good on your resume. Denison's too small. If you enjoy being on a meal plan, the selection could not be better. Slayer, the Nest, all those restaurants down in town, and the clubs give you some GOOD food. Thankfully, Denison does a reasonably good job of bringing speakers, films, and other entertainment to campus; there's usually something you can do every night. There are two dining halls as well as a space called Slayter Union that has multiple snack/meal bars where you can order food for on the go, but there is also an area to sit and eat. The professors like to challenge students, but are willing to help. I was worried that I would find it difficult to know anyone with so many people. Finally, senior year I lived in an on-campus apartment with three other seniors. Moreover, the learning environment is friendly and encouraging to students of all backgrounds, while challenging everyone to become their best! However, administration consistently fails students in regards to health and wellness and student life. However, it can definitely be a pricey school, so if you should choose Denison, be sure that you can afford it.
