The 3,000 second prize went to South African visual poet and activist Haneem Christian for their entries Mother and Daughter, and Rooted. She studied English Literature and History of Art at the University of Leeds, followed by an MA in Magazine Journalism from City, University of London. The window from her home office in South Wales looked directly onto her 77-year-old neighbour Paulines back garden.
